Abstract

This study is about a sociological approach of woman position and right based on the Titanic Movie of the great- art durector, James Cameroon. This study describes how woman has lower position in society and her right was neglected as well. This study explains that Rose (female-main character) could break the barrier of her society, and she could get her right in choosing her future husband.

1. 1. Introduction

Human being will express his/her feeling by using many vrious kinds of media. Novel is most dominant in nineteeth century but for milinium era, expressing literary works mostly expressed by using multimedia such as movie. Therefore, movie or film is one of the literary works which explain the message by using word by words, or sentence by sentnce. The literary work is an expression from a real social life in a community or society.  Then human being will express their feeling and imagination by using literary works such as; poet, novel, and movie.

As quoted from Henry (1987) in Ismadi (2011:1) states that literature is not only the efffect of the social couses but also the cause of social effects. Hence, the literary work will influence social life or another word can be said that the literary works are pictures of the real life in a society.

While Apriani (2012:1) explains about feminist theory aims to understand the nature of gender inequality and focuses on gender politics, power relations and sexuality. Feminist political activism campaigns on issues such as reproductive rights, domestic violence, maternity leave, equal pay, sexual harassment, discrimination and sexual violence. Themes explored in feminism include discrimination, stereotyping, objectification, sexual objectification, oppression and patriarchy. While generally providing a critique of social relations, many proponents of feminism also focus on analyzing gender inequality and the promotion of women’s rights, interests, and issues.

This study focuses on the woman position in high class society in Bristih cocisty. Titanic movie describes two greatl-gap class between high level known as aristocrat and lower class known as labour. This movie exposed that all different classes have same right in love and life. This study describes Rose DeWitt who came from high level class met Jack Dawson as representative of lower level class. This movie greatly-arranged by James Cameroon.

Abstract

Recently, people communicate by using a language but spekaer of the same langauge mostly do not understand each others if they speak by using their own ‘community language’ which was used in specific area, such as aviation. After happening of tragedy of Sukhoi Super Jet 100 crashed in West Java, Indonesian media brodcasted frequently. Journalists reported the news by using aviation terms which were very difficult for mostly people who do not understand the regsiter of aviation. Therefore, this study focuses on the regsiter used in Detiknews.online

1. 1. Introduction

Langauge is a too to communicate among human beings. Therefore, the role of language is very important in human daily need. So, language is a tool to transfer information. Langauge itself is as asystem because human communicate in common role in order to make his/her message conveyed. As stated by Wardhaugh (2002) in Risna (2009:1) said “ a language is a system of arbitrary verbal symbol which is used by the members of a speech community as a mean of communication to interact and express their ideas, feelings and thoughts.” Thus, human beings use a language to communicate with others in order to understand other ideas, feelings and thoughts in a speech community. While Ichsanto (2000:1) Language is the cement  of society, allowing people to live, work, and play together, to tell not only the truth but also to tell a lie or lies. So, this interaction will emerge new style in conveying something. Here style of langauge emerges when people want to convey by using various kinds of words used.

As social being, human being lives side by side with other people around hum/her. So, they we talk about language use, they always talk about societies who use it. They make their own community in society. So, they will use their specific terms used. They use their language based on their language needs. There are groups of language styles such as journalist langauge, baby talk, legalese, the language of auctioneers, and sport commentators, the language of the courtroom and classroom are examples of different register. Holmes (2002:276) then states that the language of groups of people with common interest or job, or the language used in situations associated with such groups is called register.

Abstract
The developing science and knowledge are followed by the advanced technology. Those significantly have contributed in communication by inventing cellular or mobile phone by performing written message. These become a phenomenon in society recently by communicating via SMS. These are a natural phenomenon of cellular user by sending SMS (Short Message Service). SMS normally is used by the teenager in sending message. In addition, SMS language can be categorized as a unique language, because the users do not use the standard language to write messages (SMS). The data obtained from the English Students who have studied pragmatics.The most dominant use of type of directives while the functions are asking and requesting used more often used thn the other types. While the usage of the numbers and alphabets to change the letters based on the phones due to minimizing or shortening the words used.

1. Introduction
In modern era, language is known widely used to communicate in social life. Hence, language is an important tool that helps people to communicate among their own frineds in a society or community. Wardhaugh (1977; 3) states that a language is a system of arbitrary vocal symbol can be used by human being for communication. Hence, a language has some characteristics. It is a system, arbitrary, vocal, symbol, human, and communication. In communication, language allows people to say thing to each other and express their communicative needs. While Nababan (1993:1) adds that a langauge is like insitution in society. On the other hand, Moeliono (1992) explains that function of language based on communicative can be used to declare something.

Abstract

Money has great rule in human life recently, even in the rural village such as Demolong in Wonosobo Regency that the head vilage roled by Marwoto cannot do anything because he was losen Raden Mas Pono who has much money. The theory of marxist used in research because it shows how the upper level (the have) is easily to oppress the lower level (the Poor). This research finds that money can cange the power of head village and love as well.

1. Introduction

As modern people, money become as legal transaction to fulfill daily life. Therefore, many people sacrifice everything due to the money. In addition, literary works as the real reflection of social life will points this situation.

Preman In Love is Indonesian movie relased on July 18^th, 2009 directed by Rako Prijanto and starred by Tora Sudiro, Vincent Ryan Rompies, Fanny Fabriana, Bagoes Surya Aji Wibowo, Didik Nini Thowok, dan Marwoto. This movie mostly takes pictures in Wonosobo Regency, Central-Java. This movie tells, Sahroni (Tora Sudiro), country-side at Demolong on plateu of Mount Sumbing. He totally changed his life after falling for a daughter of Head village, named Rini (Fanny Fabriana), although she will be married by her own father to Raden Mas Pono (Vincent Ryan Rompies). Due to triangle-love competition, eventually Mr. Head village (Marwoto) decides to asked them to successes him as head viallage, who will be son in law of Mr. Marwoto.

This story tells that Rini falls in love with Sahroni although he is a genster and most of people hate him. Sahroni totally changes, and he is active to campign because his rival is Raden Mas Pono which was supported by Heri (Den Baguse ngarso), he is a great magician from Dieng.
